«La silla voladora» is a children's play by Eduardo Galán, published by Editorial Bruño in paperback (112 pages, in Spanish).
Kiko and his dog García experience a magical night thanks to a flying chair invented by the boy's father. Thieves, pirates, police officers and even a lion cross their path, keeping up the intrigue and action. The play champions children's fantasy against adults' practical sense and highlights friendship, solidarity and sincerity.
It belongs to the Altamar collection, with illustrations by M.ª Fe González Casado. The work received an honorable mention at the Lazarillo Prize for theater in 1992.
Recommended for readers aged 10 to 12, especially those seeking fantastic adventures and humor with values.
