«La sombra de La Habana» is a collection of short stories by Manuel Granados, Miguel Mejides, Antonio José Ponte, Zoé Valdés and Carlos Victoria, in paperback.
Five Cuban writers united by their fascination with Havana recreate a city that is both nostalgic and decadent. The stories take place in neighborhoods and underworlds, where marginal characters try to survive amid humor, cunning and eroticism, with the memory of pre-1959 Cuba and exile as a backdrop.
First edition in Barcelona, 2000; work conceived by Liliane Hasson; includes biographies of the authors.
For readers interested in contemporary Cuban narrative and in the different perspectives on Havana from the island and from exile.

She has been married three times: with Cuban writer Manuel Pereira Quintero, Cuban government official José Antonio González and Cuban independent filmmaker Ricardo Vega.
