«La sombra de la rosa» is the suspense novel by Ángela Banzas, published by SUMA in hardcover (432 pages, in Spanish).
In 1910, the discovery of a girl's body on the island of Cortegada makes the poet Guillermo de Foz the main suspect. In 2002, professor Antía Fontán travels to Galicia to study an unpublished notebook by that writer and ends up in the sights of a killer who imitates crimes from world literature.
«La sombra de la rosa» is Ángela Banzas's third novel, published in 2023, after El silencio de las olas and La conjura de la niebla.
Suitable for readers of thrillers and historical mystery with an interest in literary references and dual-timeline plots.
