«La sorpresa dei numeri» is the children's math book by Anna Cerasoli, published by Editoriale Scienza in hardcover (176 pages, Italian).
Filo, now a bit older, embarks on a new journey through mathematics with his grandfather, a retired teacher. His questions about numbers find answers in everyday situations, while the lively, curious narrative is supported by Adriano Gon's ironic illustrations to present modern mathematics to young readers.
The work, published in 2013, belongs to the series «Non solo numeri» and revisits the character Filo, protagonist of «I magnifici dieci».
Ideal for children aged 8 and up and for curious young people who want to discover that mathematics is part of everyday life.
