«La splendeur dans l'herbe» is the novel by Patrick Lapeyre, published by P.O.L. in paperback, with 377 pages, in French.
A man and a woman meet and talk again and again about the people who have betrayed them. This common fixation brings them closer, and between them a strange love affair is born, almost involuntary, whose progress is continually postponed: the spell of dialogue seems to hold everything in suspense.
The novel was nominated for the Prix du Roman des étudiants in 2016.
For readers of contemporary French fiction who prefer intimate stories with an obsessive atmosphere.
Patrick Lapeyre is a French writer, and winner of the Prix Femina, 2010, for his seventh novel, La vie est brève et le désir sans fin.
