«La Tierra explicada a los niños» is the illustrated popular science book by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, published by Espasa Infantil in hardcover (160 pages, in Spanish).
A journey through Earth's diversity with a hundred aerial photographs by Yann Arthus-Bertrand: it shows the lives of people in different places and raises questions about oxygen, climate change, green cities, dams and ecological energies. It invites young readers to think about how their habits affect the planet and why its resources must be protected.
Published in 2008, it is volume 1 of the Oniro Libros Ilustrados I collection. Recommended for readers aged 9 to 12.
For children and young readers interested in nature and the environment; the aerial photographs make the approach to these topics very visual and accessible.
Yann Arthus-Bertrand is a French environmentalist, activist, journalist and photographer. He has also directed films about the impact of humans on the planet.
