«La Vache bleue» is the children's story by Yvon Mauffret, published by Liv'éditions in hardcover (116 pages, in French).
A blue cow is not an everyday thing, and even less so when it turns out to talk and possess magical powers. Bertille and Augustin, who take it to graze, decide not to tell anyone, not even the farmer. However, its striking color eventually attracts a journalist; the cow will have to use its talents to get rid of him. A light and poetic tale that celebrates the extraordinary in the everyday.
The original edition was published in 1999; the work is classified within the categories of Children's and Young Adult and Literature and Fiction.
Aimed at children and families, this short tale combines fantasy and poetry; it may also appeal to adults who appreciate stories about the unusual.
