«La Veu dels Somnis i Altres Contes» is the storybook by Hugh Lupton and Barefoot Books, published by Vicens Vives in paperback (80 pages, in Catalan).
Seven tales in which nothing is what it seems: a blind man who sees more than a hunter, pastries that fall from the sky and fish that swim over the grass. Intuitive people and astonishing animals star in stories that warn against the indiscreet, trust in dreams and extol the wisdom of looking with the eyes of the mind and the heart.
It belongs to the Cucanya collection. The edition includes 50 illustrations by Niamh Sharkey, a translation by Laura Santamaría Guinot and an appendix of activities.
Aimed at primary school students and young readers who want to start reading in Catalan with illustrated tales.
Hugh Michael Lupton is a British storyteller, one of the most prominent figures in the tradition of oral storytelling.
