«La vida cotidiana» is the short story collection by Daniel Gascón, published by Ediciones Alfabia in paperback (173 pages, in Spanish).
The stories in «La vida cotidiana» turn the ordinary into a source of surprise: an ex-girlfriend returns at the worst moment with an ab bench, a young man says goodbye by letter to a friend who has committed suicide, and a screenwriter hesitates between saving or abandoning his boss. Learning, loss, love and infidelity appear with humor and emotion, and routine becomes unsettling.
Number 20 in the Alfabia collection from Ediciones Alfabia, published in 2011.
For readers of contemporary Spanish fiction and fans of the short story with humor about the contradictions of daily life.
