«La vida de las mujeres» is Alice Munro's coming-of-age novel, published by Debolsillo in paperback (376 pages, in Spanish).
The girl Del Jordan grows up in the town of Jubilee and recounts her daily life with family, neighbors and friends. She pities her father's simplicity, admires her mother's boldness in selling encyclopedias, and understands she must choose between a conventional life and riskier options. That discovery also shapes her literary vocation.
This edition belongs to the Contemporánea collection and features a translation by Aurora Echevarría Pérez. Alice Munro won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2013.
