«La vida de Lazarillo de Tormes» is the picaresque novel by Anónimo, adapted by Vicente Muñoz Puelles, in paperback from Oxford University Press España.

Told in the first person by Lázaro, a boy of humble origins, the novel follows his experiences in the service of several masters: a blind man, a clergyman, a squire and other figures of sixteenth-century Spain. His misfortunes reveal social hypocrisy and the difficult survival of the poor, with irony and a critical eye.
