«La vida intermitente» is the novel by Ruth Baza, published by Mondadori in its Reservoir Books collection in paperback (160 pages, in Spanish).
The action takes place during a 16 mm documentary interview with Boris and Margo, two eccentric musicians who receive the interviewer at the decadent Motel Laberinto. The conversation becomes a chaotic portrait of the lives of Boris and Margo, with rockabilly, memories, fetishes, cultural references and a common obsession with art.
Published in 1999, the novel belongs to the Reservoir Books collection by Mondadori. The work has been described as a docubook that combines the novel with the interview and the film script.
It will appeal to readers of contemporary fiction open to a narrative with alternative rock aesthetics and references to art-house cinema.
