«La voz de los sueños y otros cuentos prodigiosos» is the short story collection by Hugh Lupton and Jesús Jiménez Reinaldo, published by Vicens Vives in paperback.
It brings together seven folk tales where appearances deceive: a blind man sees more clearly than a hunter, fish swim among the grass, and a peddler heeds the voice of his dreams. Intuitive or naive characters star in wonders that reward cunning and wisdom. Niamh Sharkey's illustrations recreate the mystery of each story.
Volume 24 of the Cucaña Collection. Translated from English by Mariana Orozco Jutoran, with an activity appendix. Original work: "Tales of Wisdom and Wonder".
Recommended for readers aged 7 to 9; serves as support material in Primary Education (grades 2-3).
Hugh Michael Lupton is a British storyteller, one of the most prominent figures in the tradition of oral storytelling.
