«L'Âne d'or ou Les Métamorphoses» is the classic novel by Apulée, published by Folio in paperback (308 pages, in French).
Considered the only Latin novel to survive in its entirety, it narrates in the first person the story of a man turned into a donkey by a failed spell. From there, his adventures portray Roman society with irony, with intercalated tales and fantastic elements.
Volume 629 of the Folio classique collection, with a preface by Jean-Louis Bory and a translation by Pierre Grimal.
For readers of classic fiction and mythology who want to approach Roman classics in their French version.
