«Las amistades peligrosas» is the epistolary novel by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, published by RBA Coleccionables in hardcover (431 pages, in Spanish).
The letters exchanged between the Marquise de Merteuil and the Vicomte de Valmont trace a game of seduction and manipulation among the French aristocracy of the 18th century. As they plan conquests and intrigues to measure their power, their entanglements drag in other characters and turn appearance and deceit into a double-edged weapon.
The work was originally published in 1782 as «Les liaisons dangereuses»; this edition offers its translation into Spanish.
For readers of French classics and epistolary novels of amorous intrigue and social criticism.
