«Las aventuras de Ulises» is Rosemary Sutcliff's young adult novel, published by Editorial Vicens Vives in paperback (176 pages, in Spanish).
After the Trojan War, Ulysses tries to return to his kingdom of Ithaca. On his long journey he faces the Cyclops Polyphemus, Scylla and Charybdis, and the Sirens' song, while Penelope waits surrounded by suitors. It is a recreation of Homer's Odyssey focused on the hero's cunning, perseverance, and endurance.
It belongs to the Clásicos Adaptados collection (2nd edition), with illustrations by Alan Lee and introduction, notes, and activities; it complements The Black Ships Before Troy, by Rosemary Sutcliff.
Recommended for secondary school students and for young readers who want to start with the classics; works as school support material.
