«Las ciudades de los muertos» is the horror and mystery novel by Michael Paine, published by Vidorama in 1990 in paperback (224 pages, in Spanish).

Howard Carter, a former Inspector of Monuments and tour guide in Egypt, meets Henry Larrimer, an American fascinated by Egyptian tombs. When mummies of children and adolescents showing signs of atrocious suffering appear, they both investigate their origin and awaken ancient beliefs, forgotten rituals, horror and death.

The novel was originally published as «Cities of the Dead» in 1988; the Spanish translation is by Elena Moreno Gutiérrez.
