«Las llamadas perdidas» is the short story collection by Manuel Rivas, published by Alfaguara in paperback (240 pages, in Spanish).
Stories that rebel against fate: characters who fight adversity with hope, humor and irony. Memory is not the past, but a reconstruction of life through sensations and a tactile gaze. The impact of loss shakes everyday life; an intimate realism that rejects the magical and claims the reality hidden in emotions.
The edition went on sale on May 14, 2002 within Alfaguara's Hispánica collection.
For readers of contemporary short fiction and Manuel Rivas's narrative, interested in memory, loss and resistance.
