«Las variaciones Bradshaw» is the contemporary literary novel by Rachel Cusk, published by Lumen in paperback (256 pages, in Spanish).
Thomas Bradshaw leaves his job to care for his daughter and devote himself to the piano, to the bewilderment of those around him. His wife, Tonie, accepts a post at the university. Over the course of a year, several generations of the Bradshaw family are shaken by crises and affections, in a story that sees family life as variations on a theme of childhood.
The original title, The Bradshaw Variations, was published in English in 2009; the Spanish edition appeared in 2010 in the Futura collection.
For readers of contemporary literary fiction and family sagas, interested in coexistence, couple roles and middle age.
Rachel Cusk is a Canadian-British novelist and writer.
