«L'avenir du Chat» is the humor comic by Philippe Geluck, published by Casterman as a paperback mini-album (47 pages, in French).
Geluck's cat, with a philosophical and wry air, faces the turn of the millennium with the idea that the third millennium will only be acceptable if it is fun. The collection of strips alternates absurd humor and everyday satire with wordplay and clean drawing, turning reflection on the future into gags.
Volume 9 of the Le Chat series, originally published in French in 2009; coloring by Serge Dehaes.
A title for fans of the Le Chat series and francophone humorous bande dessinée, as well as for readers of social satire in strips.
Philippe Geluck is a Belgian comedian, humorist, television writer and cartoonist, who sold more than 14 million albums worldwide. He studied at the INSAS. His best-known work is the comic strip Le Chat, which is one of the ten bestselling Franco-Belgian comics series.
