«L'aventura d'envellir» is the essay by Teresa Pàmies, published by Editorial Empúries in paperback (112 pages, in Catalan).
Pàmies reflects on aging, questions clichés about old age and rejects both idealizing it and falling into biological fatalism. Pàmies argues that chronological age does not always coincide with biological age, that aging is an individual adventure and that old age is more a matter of state of mind than of years.
Work number 161 in the Biblioteca Universal Empúries collection. Teresa Pàmies received the Premi d'Honor de les Lletres Catalanes in 2001.
Aimed especially at younger readers and at those who wish to rethink old age from a critical, unprejudiced perspective.
