«Le bûcher des vaniteux» is the political chronicle by Éric Zemmour, published by J'ai lu in paperback (317 pages, in French).
The journalist Éric Zemmour narrates a year of French politics as a circus of ambitions, egos and promises. From his post as chronicler, he sees the bonfire of the vain burn and compares the fall of the powerful with the medieval punishment of the Templars, in a critical chronicle about the masks of power.
The original work appeared in 2012; this French paperback edition was published in June 2014.
For readers interested in French politics, opinion journalism and current-affairs chronicles with a polemical tone.
