«Le cinquième Évangile» is Bernard-Marie's essay on Christian spirituality, published by Salvator in paperback (288 pages, in French).
It studies the 'agrapha', sayings of Jesus not included in the canonical gospels, and the visions of mystics such as Mary of Ágreda, Anne Catherine Emmerich and Maria Valtorta. After reviewing ten thousand pages of apocryphal literature, it selects a hundred words of Christ which, linked with the Scriptures, form a kind of fifth gospel.
Bernard-Marie, of the Third Order of St Francis, holds a doctorate in philosophy and theology and is qualified in biblical languages (Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic and Syriac).
For readers interested in Christian spirituality, biblical studies and apocryphal literature.
