«Le commedie delle donne» is the anthology of three comedies by Aristophanes published by Tascabili economici Newton in paperback (100 pages, in Italian).
The volume brings together «Lisistrata», «La festa delle donne» and «Le donne a Parlamento», three comedies with which Aristophanes satirizes classical Athens from a female perspective: a strike to end the Peloponnesian War, a parody of Euripides and a government of women.
Published in 1994, it includes the complete translations by Francesco Ballotto and Valentino De Carlo. The cover subtitle is «Lisistrata, La festa delle donne, Le donne a Parlamento».
For readers interested in classical Greek theater and satirical comedy of ancient Athens.
