In a country devastated by war, two young twins are left in the care of their grandmother, a woman nicknamed 'witch' who lives in extreme poverty. To survive in this hostile environment, the twins embark on a process of physical and emotional hardening, documenting their experiences in a notebook. Through a series of exercises and observations, they learn to suppress their feelings and adapt to the brutality around them, developing a worldview devoid of illusions.
