«Le Monde d'en haut» is the dystopian young adult novel by Xavier-Laurent Petit, published by Casterman in paperback (160 pages, in French).
In 2028, pollution has made the surface uninhabitable and humanity has taken refuge in Suburba, an underground city offering comforts in exchange for renouncing the outside world. Most have adapted to this organized life, but some begin to wonder if it is possible to return to the light and fight for freedom.
Volume 24 of the Romans poche collection, with illustrations by Marcelino Truong.
Recommended for readers aged 9 to 12 and for fans of young adult dystopias with social depth and criticism of conformism.
