«Le Palais des Fées T1» is the children's novel by Gwenaële Barussaud, published by Albin Michel in paperback (144 pages, in French).
It is 1900 and Célestine, aged eleven, leaves Lille to sit the entrance audition for the Paris Opera, her great dream. The city and the building, which she calls the «palace of fairies», fascinate her; but in the dressing rooms she doubts that her lucky ballet shoes will be enough to pass the audition: only one in ten candidates will be admitted.
Volume 1 of the series «Célestine, petit rat de l'Opéra», published in 2018.
For young readers who dream of ballet and the Opera.
