«Le Petit Chaperon Uf» is the play by Jean-Claude Grumberg, published by Actes Sud in hardcover (48 pages, in French).
A little girl in a red hood takes a cookie and butter to her grandmother and runs into Wolf, a wolf disguised as a corporal. He tells her he is Uf and that almost everything is forbidden to her, even her red hood, which she must swap for a yellow one. Grumberg turns the classic tale into a bittersweet parable about intolerance.
The volume belongs to the Heyoka Jeunesse collection from Actes Sud-Papiers and features illustrations by Benjamin Bachelier. It was published in 2005.
Aimed at children and young adults, and at those seeking a theatrical version of the classic tale with a critical undertone.
