«Le Petit Mitterand illustré, 1981-1996» is a book of political cartoons by Plantu, published by Seuil in paperback format and in French.
The volume brings together the cartoons that Plantu devoted to the era of François Mitterrand between 1981 and 1996, portraying with irony the French political life of those years. His caricatural line and mordant humor turn the president and his circle into protagonists of satirical scenes.
The work appeared in 1997 and the cover reproduces a cartoon by Plantu with a drummer and the French flag; the Points imprint appears on the cover.
A work for readers interested in French politics of the late twentieth century and in press cartooning as satire.
