The book reconstructs the case of Christian Ranucci, a twenty-two-year-old man guillotined in 1976 after being convicted of a crime; Gilles Perrault examines the investigation, the trial and the doubts about his guilt, as well as the social and judicial context of the case.
Le Pull-over Rouge was originally published in 1978; this 1980 French edition, in paperback, offers the complete text.
For readers of true crime and French history, and for those interested in the debate on the death penalty.
