«Le rime» is Dante Alighieri's book of poetry, published by Garzanti in the I grandi libri collection, in paperback (402 pages, in Italian).
The volume brings together the lyrical output that Dante did not organize as a unified corpus. His youthful verses draw on motifs of courtly poetry with a light diction, while the rime petrose display extreme formal virtuosity. The doctrinal compositions close the creative arc and anticipate the spiritual and moral climate of the Divine Comedy.
Edited by Piero Cudini. Number 241 in the I grandi libri collection.
For readers interested in medieval Italian poetry and in the Dante before the Divine Comedy.
Poeta italiano del siglo XIV, padre de la lengua italiana moderna y autor de la Divina Comedia, una de las obras cumbres de la literatura universal.
