«Le Rituel de l'ombre» is an esoteric thriller by Éric Giacometti and Jacques Ravenne, published by Pocket in paperback (524 pages, in French).
In Rome, an archivist of the Grand Orient is murdered and, in Jerusalem, an archaeologist with an engraved stone suffers a similar fate; both crimes evoke the death of Hiram, legendary founder of Freemasonry. Commissioner Antoine Marcas and Jade Zewinski pursue the Thulé Society, a Nazi brotherhood opposed to Freemasonry.
The work was originally published in 2005 and is part of the Antoine Marcas series; this Pocket edition is from 2011.
Will appeal to fans of historical thrillers and esoteric suspense, with plots involving secret societies and Freemasonry.
