«Le Rock: Max et le rock» is a children's book with audio CD by Leigh Sauerwein and Laurent Corvaisier (Editions Gallimard, hardcover, 24 pages, in French).
It presents Max, a boy who discovers rock by playing the electric guitar, with illustrations by Laurent Corvaisier. The edition combines the story with an accompanying sound version, designed to be read, looked at and listened to at the same time.
Published in 2001, it is part of the Mes Premières Découvertes de la Musique collection. The CD includes the narration with music by Rodolphe Burger and the voice of Alain Bashung.
It is aimed at children aged 6 to 8, as a first approach to rock music with an audio CD.
