Le roi des ogres dévoré par un moustique

Synopsis of Le roi des ogres dévoré par un moustique

«Le roi des ogres dévoré par un moustique» is the children's book by Didier Lévy and Anne Wilsdorf, published by Nathan Jeunesse in paperback (28 pp., in French).

Bouba, the king of the ogres, is about to fall asleep when he hears the buzzing of a mosquito. That small annoyance gives way to a great tangle: the mosquito ends up devouring the ogre, and the caricature illustrations amplify the absurdity with the king's crown, beard and checked waistcoat.

First edition published on April 11, 2002; part of the Nathan poche collection.

Aimed at children aged 6 to 9 who are beginning to read independently; the visual humor of the illustrations makes reading more accessible.
