«Le roi et le chasseur» is the children's story by Francisco Arcis and Frédérick Mansot, published by Belin Jeunesse in paperback (32 pages, in French).
A king travels across a savanna where animals speak in verse and whose boundaries he does not know; he wants to show it to his future son-in-law, but encounters an unknown hunter. The story invites reflection on power, responsibility, freedom and respect, and closes with pedagogical advice for discussing the reading with children.
First published in 2003, this title is part of the «Les albums de Justine» collection from Belin Jeunesse.
Recommended for children aged 7 and up, with pedagogical guidance for working at home or in the classroom.
