«Le Vent du soir» is the novel by Jean d'Ormesson, published by LGF in paperback (375 pages, in French).

The narrative is set against historical change: it begins in the mid-19th century and moves from Brazil to Venice, from Russia to India, from South Africa to Scotland and Vienna.
