«Le zoo» is the sound book for children by Paule Du Bouchet, published by Gallimard Jeunesse in hardcover (16 pages, in French).
The book invites the youngest to recognize six zoo animals —the koala, the bear, the elephant, the pink flamingo, the snake and the crocodile— while listening to their sound. Each scene combines a large illustration with a sound device so that the child associates image, name and sound.
It belongs to the «Mes petits imagiers sonores» collection from Gallimard Jeunesse.
Designed for children aged 0 to 3 who are beginning to become familiar with animal sounds and first words.
Paule du Bouchet is a French writer, novelist and author of several books for youth. She is currently in charge of the Music Department of Gallimard Jeunesse.
