«Le Zubial» is the novel by Alexandre Jardin, published in paperback (233 pages, in French).
Alexandre Jardin evokes his father, Pascal Jardin, who died in 1980 and whom his children called «el Zubial»: an imaginative, contradictory and free man who lived without yielding to fear. A writer and screenwriter of more than a hundred films, he was passionate about life and love. The author presents it as a reunion, not a book of memories.
First installment of the author's autobiographical «Trilogie»; it corresponds to number 3206 in the Folio collection. The original edition was published in 1997.
For readers of contemporary French fiction interested in family portraits and the figure of the father.
Alexandre Jardin is a French writer, film director and winner of the Prix Femina, 1988, for Le Zèbre.
