«Leandre i Hero. Història de Josep» is a classic of medieval prose by Joan Roís de Corella in paperback (Edicions Bromera, 176 pages, in Catalan).
The volume brings together two narratives by Joan Roís de Corella: «Leandre i Hero», a mythological story of tragic love between two young people who meet at a party, and «Història de Josep», a rewriting of a Genesis tale about Josep, son of the patriarch Jacob. The two narratives show the author's secular and religious prose.
It belongs to the Els Nostres Autors collection, number 39, with a version and introduction by Josep Lozano and Magda Añón.
Suitable for readers of classic fiction and for those who want to discover Valencian medieval prose from the late 15th century.
Joan Roís de Corella was a Catalan language writer from the Kingdom of Valencia.
