«Leandro, el niño horrible» is the children's novel by Anna Manso Munné, published by Ediciones SM in paperback (120 pages, in Spanish).
Leandro thinks he's ugly, though maybe he isn't. When he becomes friends with his classmate Cordelia, whom he's in love with, the two amuse themselves with hairdressing games, try to find out who steals his mother's newspaper, and pose as models. Amid laughter, Leandro learns that appearances are deceiving and that friendship helps you accept yourself.
It belongs to the El Barco de Vapor Naranja collection, number 215, and includes illustrations by Bea Blue (Beatriz Castro Heredia).
Reading for boys and girls aged 8 to 10, with humor and a message about self-esteem and friendship.
