«Les aventures de La Ficelle» is the young-adult adventure novel by Michel Grimaud, published by Flammarion in paperback (229 pages, in French).
Old La Ficelle is famous in his village for his tales of youth: he was a gold prospector in Guiana, a rubber collector in the Amazon rainforest, and became chief of an indigenous tribe. Back in France, he recalls those adventures before those who gather to listen to him.
Published in 1993, it is part of Flammarion's Castor Poche collection, focused on young-adult literature.
Aimed at readers aged 9 to 12, especially those who enjoy adventure stories in faraway lands.
shared nom de plume of Marcelle Perriod and Jean-Louis Fraysse
