In the small town of Arnes, in the year 1533, Maria gives birth to her daughter Luna. Grandmother Magdalena, an expert in herbs and a midwife, welcomes her with an ancient prayer. However, the town priest hears the words and is willing to end this heresy. As she grows up, Luna is initiated into the power of the elements by Maria and by a mysterious book, the Llibre de les Essències. But fanaticism has spread and accusations of witchcraft are approaching the town. As heirs to their lineage, Luna and Maria must protect the book and continue the chain, even if in their flight to Barcelona they run the risk of being burned at the stake.
