«Les cheminotes» is the humorous comic by Jak and Georges Grard, published by Grrr... Art as a hardcover album (32 pages, in French).
Les cheminotes are the women who work at SNCF, the French railway company. Commissioned by Parisian works councils for International Women's Day, this comic pays humorous tribute to their work, with light-hearted panels depicting everyday railway life far from any institutional approach.
Published in March 2010. The cover credits the work to Jak et Geg, also authors of the series «Lo et Lu» and «La bande Ed».
Aimed at the general public, it is an enjoyable read for those seeking everyday humor and a glimpse into the world of French railways.
