«Les contes bleus du chat perché» is Marcel Aymé's children's storybook, published by Folio Junior in paperback (208 pages, in French).
Delphine and Marinette are left alone and the extraordinary becomes everyday: they open the door to the wolf, hide a hunted deer and turn the house into Noah's ark. A traveling duck returns with a golden-eyed panther, and the girls wake up turned into a donkey and a horse. Humorous tales where imagination wins over reality.
It is number 433 in the Folio Junior collection, published in 2007.
Recommended for young readers aged 9 to 12 who enjoy fantastical stories featuring animals.
Marcel Aymé was a French novelist and playwright, who also wrote screenplays and works for children.
