«Les fabuleuses aventures d'un Indien malchanceux qui devint milliardaire» is the novel by Vikas Swarup, published by Edition France Loisirs in paperback (444 pages, in French).
The novel revolves around Ram Mohammad Thomas, a young Indian of humble origin who wins the television quiz show «¿Quién quiere ganar un millón de rupias?» and arouses the show's suspicions.
