«Les flammes de la liberté» is the novel by Georges Coulonges published by Presses de la Cité in paperback (330 pages, in French).
Les flammes de la liberté is set in occupied France during World War II: Dédé Lassale and his fellow resistance fighters are arrested after waiting for an arms drop. The network's leader, Hervé Garin-Millaud, negotiates with the Gestapo for the release of the detainees; that decision divides his comrades between those who accuse him of treason and those who defend him.
Les flammes de la liberté is the third installment after La Madelon de l'an 40 and L'Enfant sous les étoiles, in the Terres de France collection.
A work for readers of historical fiction centered on the German occupation and the French resistance.
