«Les frontières» is the young adult novel by Jean-François Chabas, illustrated by José Muñoz, published by Casterman in paperback (119 pages, in French).
Ranko and Fran flee from Branimir, who forces them to clean windshields and takes away the money they earn. On their way to the sea, they nostalgically remember their life in Slovenia with their parents; their longing for nature and freedom clashes with an invisible border that seems to separate them from others.
The work was published in 2009 by Casterman in its Feeling collection and features illustrations by José Muñoz.
Recommended for young readers aged 9 to 12, especially for those seeking stories of overcoming and freedom.
