«Les héros de l'Iliade» is the young-adult adaptation of Homer's Iliad by M. Laffon, published by Le Livre de Poche Jeunesse in paperback (191 pp., French).
The war between Achaeans and Trojans has lasted ten years; Achilles, Hector and Priam face each other, and the gods also take part in the battle. This abridged version of the Iliad, designed for young readers, brings the Homeric tale closer with pedagogical support.
First volume of Martine Laffon's Homeric adaptation, published in 2009 in the Le Livre de Poche Jeunesse collection.
Aimed at young readers beginning their journey into Homeric epic, with supporting didactic material.
Homer was an ancient Greek poet who is widely credited as the author of the Iliad and the Odyssey, two epic poems that are foundational works of ancient Greek literature. Although his life and authorship remain obscure, Homer was highly revered in ancient Greek society and is considered one of the most influential authors in history.
