Les histoires du Petit Poucet racontées dans le monde

Synopsis of Les histoires du Petit Poucet racontées dans le monde

«Les histoires du Petit Poucet racontées dans le monde» is a collection of tales by Fabienne Morel and Gilles Bizouerne (Syros, paperback, 93 pages).

This book brings together different versions of the Tom Thumb tale from various cultures and countries. In these stories, children abandoned by their parents or pursued by ogres and witches must fend for themselves; through these adventures, the tales show the necessary separation between childhood and the adult world.

Part of the «Le tour du monde d'un conte» collection, illustrated by Émilie Harel, with text in French. Published in 2007.
