«Les Jalna, tome 1» is the first omnibus volume of the family saga by Mazo de la Roche, published by France Loisirs in 1994, in French.
This volume brings together the first four novels in the Whiteoak/Jalna series: it begins with the marriage of Adeline and Captain Whiteoak, who decide to build their home on the shores of Lake Ontario, and follows the family's life during their early years in the house, with celebrations, jealousy and humorous episodes.
This volume, part of the 16-novel Whiteoak Chronicles series, brings together the first four: La naissance de Jalna, Matins à Jalna, Mary Wakefield and Jeunesse de Renny.
For readers who want to start the Whiteoak saga and enjoy classic family sagas set in Canada.
